Rennie and John's Wedding Monogram

I really love working with brides on their wedding projects and working with Rennie on her monogram was no exception. She was very easy to work with and chose one of my standard monograms. Their colors are chocolate brown and a rich blue.

Congratulations Rennie and John!

Peony - Save-the-Date

Recently I worked with Priya and Rebecca on a Save the Date for their upcoming wedding. Priya chose the beautiful peony card and we modified the wording and the color to suit their tastes.

Congratulations on your engagement Priya and Rebecca!

Zophia's First Birthday - Owl Invitation/Party

I can't believe that sweet little Zophia is turning one! Time does fly! Zophia's mom is hosting a birthday party and decided on an Owl theme. We used one of the cute girl owls in the totally fun green and pink color scheme --- which resulted in a super cute, girly first birthday invite!

Throw in some cake flags and some table centerpieces and the party is just about ready!

The table centerpieces - two to a sheet

Happy Birthday Sweet Zophia! And congrats to Mom and Dad for making it through the first year!

Pedicure Party - Baby Shower

Lisa is hosting a totally fun and awesome baby shower for her friend Alice. They're starting the day off at a local Nail Salon/Spa and then following it up with lunch at a local restaurant. I wish I knew Alice so that I could come!

Doesn't it sound lovely?

It's Carnival Time!

I love Carnivals - I always have! The booths - the games - the food - the prizes - even the people! I was really happy to work with Angela on her son's upcoming 3rd birthday party - especially when she told me that it was a carnival!

Angela had a pretty good idea of what she wanted and I was so happy to have made this invitation for the party.

I can't wait to see the rest of the party!

Cowboy/Western Baby Shower

One of my absolute FAVORITE projects is this cowboy/western themed baby shower. Honestly I was a little apprehensive about starting it because I had such a creative block but it all of a sudden came together. Check it out!

We continued with the theme and created a book plate label, an enclosure card explaining what the guests should do, and then the matching favor tag/envelope seal.

Good luck with the party Stephanie!

Dora the Explorer

As a favor to my sister, I created this super cute Dora-themed invitation. Since we were short on time, I used a sample that I had created previously....re-sized it so she could print at home and use existing envelopes...and added in the graphic. It's even cuter printed than it is on the computer!

Happy Birthday to my lil cutie pie!

Peony Shower Invitation

I love the opportunity to work with past customers and Malorie is no exception! We spent a good amount of time working on her wedding projects (which turned out beautifully!) and I was more than happy to work on the invitation for a baby shower she is co-hosting.

Noah's First Birthday Invitation - OWLS

Love love love these owls! And I really love that we turned the original baby shower invite into a first birthday invite! Soooo cute!

Happy First Birthday Noah and Congrats Mom and Dad for making it through the first year!

My mom's surprise 60th birthday party

It's not very often that I get the opportunity to plan/host a party for anyone so when my sister and I decided to do a surprise party for our mom's 60th birthday, I knew I'd have a good time not only with the paper goods but also with the food. When Mom turned 50, she and my Dad took us to Hawaii to celebrate. Since that wasn't in the budget, we decided to bring Hawaii to her and hosted a luau-themed party at my sister's house in the Central Valley. She has an awesome "gazebo" that she and her husband built which sits near their almond orchard and pool. It was the perfect site to set up our party.

The Invitation - these were enclosed in matching blue envelopes with wrap around labels
The wrap-around label
The lawn sign - printed through vistaprint - I wish I had gotten a real picture of it!
Matching Thank You cards - also printed through vistaprint - front of a folded card

And some pictures of the paper products - forgive me, I'm not a good photographer. :)

On the way in the front door

The Birthday Sign -- terrible picture but you get the idea. :)
The utensil table

What I've learned:
  • I really suck at taking pictures!
  • I didn't take pictures of the welcome sign, the gazebo with all the cute decorations that my sister and BIL hung, the tables, OR the food! Sigh. At least I got pictures of the PEOPLE! And they are the most important part!
  • I learned a lot about the paper products so that I can give even more advice to my customers. :) (LOVE my 1/4" rectangle hole punch - I bought it when I did the paper products for my wedding and haven't used it since....GREAT tool for cutting slits for ribbon!)
The Menu (at least what I remember):
Luau chicken sliders on hawaiian rolls
Hawaiian pulled pork sandwiches - on full-size hawaiian rolls
Grilled pineapple
Fruit salad
Several Yummy appetizers
Cake

We also created a DVD for Mom full of pictures of loved ones current and past. We're going to do some minor editing but she should have it in her hot little hands soon!

Happy birthday Mom! We love you!

A surprise party - chandelier style!

All names on this post have been changed to protect the innocent. :) I had the pleasure of working with a friend of mine on an party that she was throwing. She loved the chandelier invite that I've been doing for weddings and knew she wanted to use vistaprint for printing.

We also did another paper insert but I'll showcase that soon. :)

I love it! I hope the party was a huge success. :)

Party Pictures from Benjamin's first birthday

You may remember wayyy back in August - I created this cute invitation for Benjamin's upcoming first birthday??? Well Benjamin's mom was awesome to work with and provided some great pictures of some of the other party goods "in action". We created the following:

  • cupcake wraps
  • large banner
  • small banner (for the high chair)
  • number 1's to decorate with
  • background polka paper to use for things like napkin wraps, etc

The banner
Shannon wanted a birthday sign for Benjamin's high chair...the challenge with this is that the area is so small that we had to double-up the letters....still cute, don't you think?
The cupcake wraps

And the "number 1" accents

Happy BELATED Birthday Benjamin! Looks like the party was a lot of fun!

Baptism Invitation

I enjoyed working with Nicole on a baptism invitation for both Gianna and Tommy. Nicole wanted something simple in browns/tans and black.

I hope that everything went well today!!!

Owl Shower - Girls

Nichole purchased the owl baby shower invite through etsy for an upcoming shower that she is hosting. The only change? Just the colors to match the color scheme of the party. :)

Thanks Nichole! I hope the party was a big success!

Molly's monograms

Congratulations again to Molly - her wedding is NEXT week - and she needed a few more monograms and also changed her colors a bit.

Halloween BUNCO Party

First let me say that I LOVE Halloween and I especially LOVE BUNCO....combine the two and I'm so jealous that I don't live closer so I could come to Mel's fabulous costume bunco party. :) I will admit that I had a serious creative block this year when it came to halloween graphics - in fact I had to turn one friend away because I just wasn't feeling it creatively. Somehow I pulled my act together (sort of) and came up with these.

One of the sample invites

The final design

The scorecard template

Aidan's first birthday - a little monkey-ing around

I really enjoyed working with Karen on Aidan's first birthday party. I love love love polka dots and when we combined them with my monkey....oooh! Super cute!

The invitation

Thank you card template - printed at vistaprint on a folded card.

Favor tag - Karen used a circle punch and centered the circle on the punch.

Junior League of Tacoma

I had the pleasure of working with Lexi on a design for an upcoming event that the JL of Tacoma was hosting. Unfortunately the event got canceled but I wanted to share the design anyway. :) They were looking for an art deco feel and wanted several different kinds of collateral. I personally love it - -- and it's exactly the kind of event I'd LOVE to go to! :)

YUM!
